Here is a video that just started off with the incredibly simple and powerful concept that every two year old child seems to know instinctively.The concept of play. Just get going, mess around and see what direction develops naturally. Don’t think, just do it.
It seems that as we get older we tend to loose a little bit of the magic behind this. We can’t just “do”. We need to have the comfort of an idea, no matter how abstract it may be, then develop a plan with goals and milestones. Through all this ‘bureaucratic’ creative process we loose that raw infinite imaginative ability that takes us further down the rabbit hole, further than we may care to go in some cases. However the journey may be more important than the end result.
From the creator;
I was just playing around in Zbrush late at night while watching TV, and a hour and a bit later I finished making this. The video was sped up 5x so its not like 50 mins long. I wasted quite a bit of time at some parts just playing around with stuff, lol. Anyways, I love Zbrush.
Just a quick round table before the long weekend. I should also mention that zbrush is now availabe for the Mac! So you can place an order for your Mac verison right now!
Oooh another creepy crawly from Dethan! This scorpion has a pretty sweet happy go lucky sound track accompanying him. Great process of building up the basic model in Zspheres, and then refining.
Not for the squeemish! This is a great model of a classic creepy crawly.
Whats that on the road, a head?
This brings back wonderful/horrible childhood memories of Watership down for some reason. Or the Death Cab for Cutie song “follow you into the dark”. Either way, this is a very nice and simple technique on sculpting in Zbrush!
Posted in zbrushcentral by the very talented mayaguru, comes this amazing tribute to Heath Ledgers “Joker”. Some really amazing progress shots! This is still a work in progress, but a lot of fantastic detail here! You can see the entire thread here!
